Out-of-round rolls and roll handling
Substrate rolls may be handled up to 15 times between the mill and the printing press. Each of these instances presents a risk of damage, especially for bulky papers like newsprint and some book grades. This seminar will overview causes and key techniques to avoid creating out-of-round rolls during handling. This will include essential issues such as different paper grades and their characteristics, clamping principles, and clamp force control systems to prevent roll deformation. Enhance your knowledge and get your questions answered during the interactive Q&A session.
